Numismatic Theatre & Sundman Lecture Series
ANA offers visitors to their annual conventions opportunities to hear educational presentations from numismatic scholars. The vast
array of topics ranges from Collecting Mercury Dimes to the The Ultimate Smart Coin Consumer to Alms for our King: The English
Civil War . The names of the presenters read like a “Who’s Who” of coin collecting. There are programs that appeal to both
beginning collectors and advanced numismatists.
Numismatic Theatre
Programs are usually held each hour on the hour during public hours at both the National Money ShowTM and The
World’s Fair of Money®. Each presentation is usually 35 minutes, allowing about 10-15 minutes for questions and answers. Speakers are
encouraged to use visuals and provide their audience with handouts.
People who are interested in presenting a topic for Numismatic Theatre must submit a completed Numismatic Theatre Proposal Form to the
ANA Education Department. Proposals will be evaluated and programs will be selected based on overall appeal to numismatists or to the general
public. Programs may be videotaped and presenters are required to dress appropriately.
Sundman Lecture Series
In addition to Numismatic Theatre, the Sundman Lecture Series named for Littleton Coin Company's founder Maynard Sundman, is offered at the World's Fair of
Money®.
