General Comments

“I feel that the A.N.A gives good value for money and excellent representation to its membership. The Numismatist is an extremely good publication that keeps me abreast of the numismatic world and combined with annual visits to the A.N.A Summer Convention I feel involved and informed.”

“I visited the ANA Money Museum in Colorado Springs for the first time this year, and it is a gem. It should be touted more to members, and they should be encouraged to include it in their vacation planning.”

“The ANA is really not part of my hobby. It's a magazine, like the Smithsonian and National Geographic. I belong because I like the publication and sort of think I "should" be a member.”

“Summer Seminar is the single most important benefit.”

“The firing and fighting over naming the museum really hurt the ANA. I have a lot of friends that cannot see past those issues to see the potential the ANA has to be a leader in Numismatic Education.”

“Everyone interested in numismatics should be encouraged to support the work of the ANA.”

“To the Board I say "stay the course" to keep ANA growing and keep up the good work in dragging the ANA into the 21st century even if some members are kicking and screaming like spoiled children.”

From a National Coin Week Theme Contest prize winner: “It would be very easy for staff at the ANA to sit around a table and come up with a theme, but involving the membership in programs such as this is so important. If I just filed this prize away somewhere, I would be doing a disservice also. I hope to be able to attend some coin club meetings and show it off, in that way I can promote National Coin Week and promote the ANA and reinforce the idea that getting involved in anything, something, somehow, is well worth the effort."
