Using the Library
Whether you choose to write, call, or visit you will discover the ANA
Library is one of the most complete numismatic libraries in the world.
Our collection of more than 40,000 volumes is at your service. Topics
covered include, but are not limited to, coins, paper money, tokens,
medals, military orders and decorations, and stocks and bonds.
Additionally you will find books about collecting, economics, and banks
and banking.
The library also maintains one of the world's finest collections of
numismatic periodicals and auction catalogs. A large collection
of slide and video programs are
available to member clubs and individuals for presentation or personal
use.
Members may borrow books, auction catalogs, and slide
and video presentations through the mail. Items may be requested by
author, title or subject. Requests for auction catalogs should specify
the dealer's name and the date of the auction. The books and catalogs
are loaned for a period of six weeks. Always include your ANA number to
validate your request.
The cost of both outgoing and incoming postage and
insurance is the responsibility of the member borrowing the materials.
Insurance fees are based on the replacement value of the materials,
assuring adequate coverage if the shipment is lost. Unless otherwise
requested, materials will be mailed USPS Library Rate.
