United States Mint's 50 State Quarters®
Program
Thanks to this innovative ten-year program, every 10 weeks a
new state's quarter is released in the order states were admitted
into the Union. Every coin is different and represents the individual
state.
All quarters are minted at both the Denver and Philadelphia mints.
Look for the mintmark, "D" or "P" on the obverse or "heads" side of the
coin. It indicates which mint struck that particular coin.
