NWDCC hosts successful fall show

Success ... Hundreds of coin dealers and collectors got together on November 3rd at the Northwest Detroit Coin Club's Fall 2013 Coin Show at the Livonia (Mi) Senior Center. The show featured the best coin and currency dealers from around the Midwest and attracts Metro Detroit residents who look forward to the Club's Spring and Fall Coin Shows because of the quality of dealers, free admission, gold and silver raffles, free parking and the great deals.

YN Wins Kids Baseball Challenge Design Contest

At noon, October 31, the U.S. Mint announced its winners of the Kids Baseball Challenge Design Contest. Walter J. G. Waholek, a 14-year-old ANA Young Numismatist from Mayfair in Northeast Philadelphia, was notified directly by phone by the Deputy Director of the U.S. Mint, Richard A. Peterson, from his office in Washington D.C. that he was the grand prize winner in the Mint’s Baseball Hall of Fame "Kids batter up challenge Design contest."
