Numismatic Crime Information Center to Conduct Law Enforcement Seminar During F.U.N Show

The Numismatic Crime Information Center will offer a one-day training class on numismatic crime investigations for local, state and federal law enforcement officers. The class will be held in conjunction with the F.U.N. 59th Annual Convention January 9-12, 2014.

Regina Show Features Rare Patterns

The Regina Coin Club’s fall show and sale on October 19-20 will feature a complete set of five Canadian 1937 brass specimen pattern coins produced at the Paris Mint. The coins, in denominations of one cent, 5 cents, 10 cents, 25 cents and 50 cents, are the only known complete set in private hands. The other complete set is in the National Currency Museum at the Bank of Canada in Ottawa.

131st Southern Calif. Convention and Coin Show in November

The California State Numismatic Association will hold their 131st  Southern California Convention and Coin Show on November 23 and 24 in Long Beach, Calif., at the Long Beach Airport Holiday Inn, 2640 N. Lakewood Blvd. Long Beach Calif. 90815 (Just South of the 405 Fwy.). 

There will be 31 dealers in attendance that specialize in U.S. and world coins; paper money; gold and silver bullion; ancient coins as well as other related numismatic items. There will also be club meetings and educational exhibits including a youth table and a Boy Scout Clinic (Saturday, Nov. 23).

The show will be open to the public Saturday, Nov. 23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission on Saturday is $4 and Sunday is $2. Youths younger than 15 and Boy Scouts will get in to the show for free. There is also plenty of free parking.
