National Coin Week is a few months away, April 22-27. Nevertheless, it is never too early to learn more about the buffalo nickel, which is this year's National Coin Week theme. Hobo nickels typically are designed from buffalo nickels, so their history goes is intertwined. Yet, the hobo nickel has its own distinctive history.
