June marks the 10th anniversary of this FUN Club Newsletter. Yes, I started this monthly newsletter in June 2004 with just two coin clubs listed. Today we have 20-plus clubs participating every month in the newsletter. Thanks to all FUN member clubs for participating over the years. We also have added the FUN sponsored bus trips and the FUN coin club get together. All FUN member clubs can have free tables at the FUN shows.
Don’t forget to RSVP Swicer@comcast.net with two representatives from your club to attend the FUN Coin Club Get Together, Friday July 11th at noon. We will have a lunch buffet, 10 silver eagle door prizes and club communication. We need your RSVP so we know how much food to have. All FUN member clubs can attend.
Brandon Coin Club had 42 at its last meeting. Bill Jones gave a program entitled, “William the Conqueror Founds the British Monarchy.”
Casselberry Coin Club had a program on relic tokens by President Dick Wells. All of the tokens were tied to a significant place or event.
Central Florida Coin Club spring coin show had 122 dealer tables. They had two authors signing their books and they had two grading services represented at the show. Dan Aidif, Lee Brown and Zach and Steve Lauer did a presentation at the Orange County main Library for National Coin Week. The program was “Toning on Coins” by Zach Lauer.
Ft. Lauderdale Coin Club had a program by Greg Wagner on seated dimes, then the next meeting he did seated half dimes. Joe Zelinski spoke on the ANA Trivia Questions.
Ft. Walton Beach Coin Club had 61 members at its meeting. The program was a show-n-tell with several members participating. The auction followed.
Gold Coast Coin Club had the ANA DVD on “Grading Mint State U.S. Coins.”
Greater Jacksonville Coin Club put 500 to 600 old coins into circulation during National Coin Week. Its program was “Where the Buffalo Roam” by Mark Trout
North Lake Coin & Currency Club met May 14th with a meeting, raffle, 50/50 drawing and the auction.
Palm Beach Coin Club had a report on the Central States show. The club picnic May 17th had 61 club members attend.
Sarasota Coin Club had 44 at its last meeting. Fiftieth anniversary club medals are available in silver, goldine and copper. Bart Bartanowicz gave the program, “Third Party Grading Companies.” He handed out Randy Campbell’s top 14 dollars for 2014.
South Brevard Coin Club had a program on book resources. Its April picnic went well. There was a big show-n-tell followed by the auction.
Tampa Bay Coin Club had Archie Taylor give a program on Hobo nickels. He talked about the art of carving, origins, history and how to tell originals from modern carver Hobo nickels. There were lots of questions. The club is on Twitter,@TampaCoinClub. The raffle and auction went well.
Treasure Coast Coin Club had a show-n-tell.
Venice Coin Club had 32 at its meeting. Bart Bartanowicz gave a program called “Hot Silver Dollar Buys for 2014.” There was a mystery coin quiz followed by the auction.
West Hernando Coin Club had 54 at its meeting. President Guy Ventre presented Gene Harbour with a plaque for his meritorious service as Treasurer from 2007-13. The club show is June 21st at the Brooksville Elks Club.
GEORGIA
Augusta Coin Club coin show was a success. The 2014 club medallions were sold at the show. There was a power point presentation entitled “The Sources of our Coinage Designs,” followed by a show-n-tell and the auction.

NORTH CAROLINA
Lower Cape Fear Coin Club had a successful coin show with over 800 attending. The club program was Indian Cents by Bill M. They had a club space at the Independence Mall were they gave free appraisals and signed up two new members. Three members helped out at the Children’s Art Festival and gave out 2014 Kennedy halves on souvenir cards.

West Tennessee Collectors Club will have its 55th annual coin show September 6-7th at the Madison County Agricultural Extension Service Auditorium, 309 N. Parkway in Jackson,.
