ANA Milwaukee Bourse Sells Out; Hotels Filling Quickly

All bourse tables have been sold out for the American Numismatic Association’s 2007 World’s Fair of Money®, Aug. 8-12 in Milwaukee. Hotel rooms for the event are filling quickly, with limited options now available in downtown Milwaukee. All indications are that a terrific, strongly attended ANA convention will be a highlight of the summer.

The bourse area features dealers from around the world, the popular Mint Promenade, a club midway and many numismatic publishing and supply companies. This year, more than 500 vendors and 1,100 coin dealers will be in attendance, making it one of the largest bourses on record. Visitors to the Milwaukee World’s Fair of Money® receive a program booklet with information on bourse vendors. To view a map of the Milwaukee bourse area, visit www.money.org (select “World’s Fair of Money” from the “Featured Links” tab, then select “Milwaukee Floor Plan and Dealer Listing”).

Many of the convention’s hotels in downtown Milwaukee are now at capacity. The Courtyard Milwaukee Downtown still has rooms available at a group convention rate. To make a reservation, visit www.money.org (select “World’s Fair of Money” from the

“Featured Links” tab, then select “Hotel and Travel Information”), or call 719-482-9868. In addition, rooms are available at Marquette University’s Straz Tower by calling 414-288-7208.

The Milwaukee World’s Fair of Money® will be held at the Midwest Airlines Center, Aug. 8-12. Clifford Mishler is serving as the event’s General Chairman, Chester L. Krause is the Honorary Chairman and Joseph Boling is Chief Exhibit Judge. The Milwaukee Numismatic Society, Numismatists of Wisconsin and the South Shore Coin Club are the event’s host clubs. Heritage Auction Galleries is the official auction company.

The World’s Fair of Money® features the popular collector exhibit area, hundreds of dealers and many educational opportunities. Admission is free and the show is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

The collector exhibit area may be viewed Thursday through Sunday as early as 9 a.m. For questions or more information, call 719-482-9857 or e-mail convention@money.org.
