ANA Life Member Gary Adkins is the 2010 recipient of the American NumismaticAssociation’s Harry J. Forman Dealer of the Year award. Adkins received his award Aug. 10at the ANA World’s Fair of Money kickoff cruise in Boston. The annual award is presented toan ANA-member dealer who shows uncommon dedication to strengthening the hobbyand the Association, and displays exemplary ethical standards as a dealer. The award isnamed in honor of the late Harry J. Forman, a Philadelphia coin dealer, author and ANA lifemember.

Jeffrey Swindling and Bruce Benoit received the American Numismatic Association’s 2008Outstanding District Representative awards. The announcement was made by ClubRepresentative Program National Coordinator Michael S. “Stan” Turrini on Aug. 2 at theWorld’s Fair of Money® in Baltimore. The award is given annually to recognize commitment,leadership and a willingness to enthusiastically serve the ANA and its member clubs.
Pennsylvania collector Sam Deep will receive the American Numismatic Association’sExemplary Service Award Aug. 2 at the Baltimore World’s Fair of Money®. The ANA presentsthe award annually to recognize an individual or entity (club, corporation, firm orassociation) who has performed services on behalf of the Association that are “above andbeyond” the call of duty.
ANA honors Neil Shafer, Leroy Van Allenwith Lifetime Achievement Awards
Numismatic News Editor David C. Harper will receive this year’s Burnett Anderson MemorialAward for Excellence in Numismatic Writing. He will be presented the award Aug. 10 duringthe ANA Membership Award Presentations at the World’s Fair of Money® in Milwaukee, Wis.
Steven L. Contursi is the recipient of the 2007 American Numismatic Association ExemplaryService Award. He will receive the award Aug. 10 during the ANA Membership AwardPresentations at the World’s Fair of Money® in Milwaukee, Wis.
John W. Dannreuther is the recipient of the American Numismatic Association’s 2007Numismatist of the Year Award. He will be presented the award Aug. 10 at a membershipreception in his honor during the World’s Fair of Money® in Milwaukee, Wis.
