South Baldwin Numismatic Association-will have
its coin show August 10,11, 2013 at the Foley Civic Center.
Ancient City Coin Club-had Ray Herz speak on
"Other Works by Coin Designers". The July meeting featured "What
did you find at FUN" & Numismatic trivia Pursuit".
Brandon Coin Club-had 47 at their last meeting.
Archie T gave a program on "Hobo Nickels". The latest coin show was
a success with over 250 in attendance.
Casselberry Coin Club-had a slide show on "Type
Collecting" by Tom Palmer. They have a silver eagle attendance
prize and an all silver raffle, followed by the auction.
Central Florida Coin Club-had their bronze club
medals arrive. Two YN's came back from the ANA Summer seminar to
tell their stories. Volunteers from the club manned registration
booths at Summer FUN. Long time club member Paul Bricker passed
Daytona Coin Club- met Tuesday July
9th, with a program, refreshments, and the auction.
Ft. Lauderdale Coin Club-had a talk by Richard
Anderson on "Collecting Mercury Dimes" and how to tell full split
Ft. Walton Beach Coin Club-had a program on "US
Military Medals" by Max Dawkins. 55 members were present. The club
donated 18 Red Books to the city and county library systems.
Gold Coast Coin Club-studied "Detecting
Counterfeit and Altered Coins"
Greater Jacksonville Coin Club-gave their
Willis Doolittle exhibit award to Peyton Souder for her "Buy the
Coin not the Slab". Congratulations goes out to club member Jeff
Swindling for being elected an ANA Governor.
North Lake Coin & Currency Club- had a
meeting July 10th. They had a raffle, 50/50 drawing, and
Ocala Coin Club- had a club picnic July
30th with hamburgers, hot dogs, and lots of
games. They are starting a "Mystery Hand-shaker" program to improve
friendliness and know who is who among the membership. An award
will be given to the winner.
Palm Beach Coin Club-reviewed the club survey
taken the meeting before. At the second meeting the club discussed
Summer FUN and three members told about their trip to the ANA
Sarasota Coin Club- had 37 at their last
meeting. Ben Todd gave another, "What is Hot & What is Not".
The clubs 50th anniversary medals should be
South Brevard Coin Club-had a video on "Buying
Safes". The club will provide sandwiches, chips, and drinks.
They also had a show n tell followed by the auction.
Tallahassee Numismatic Club-discussed having a
one day coin show in either August, September, or October. They had
a show n tell, and a talk on the ANA headquarters & museum.

Tampa Bay Coin Club-had a program on "War Time
Nickels", a silver eagle door prize, free donuts and soda, followed
by the auction. The club has a table at Summer FUN, #218.
Titusville Coin Club-had a program on
"Emergency Preparedness" by Rick Byrd, what to do in case of an
evacuation, followed by the silver raffle, sloppy joes, and
Treasure Coast Coin Club- had a program on
"Standing Liberty Quarters" by Bob Whalen. TCCC is now on Facebook
Venice Coin Club-had 22 members and 4 guests
here Bart Bartanowicz program on "Modern Military Themed
Commemoratives", followed by the auction. At the next meeting, they
had 23 in attendance and Scott Sanborn did a presentation on
West Hernando Coin Club-had a program on
"Franklin Half Dollars" by Bruce Schneider. The club gave a partial
scholarship to YN James Monaco.
Augusta Coin Club- had a program on
"Collecting US Type Silver Dollars" and their history, followed by
the auction, door prizes, and the 50/50 drawing. The 2013 club
medal is available in 3 alloys, $8 each or all 3 for $22.
Lower Cape Fear Coin Club-had a super show n
tell with everyone asked to bring in something.
