RECEIVED MY PRIZE!

Coins-World | Mike Burns

Hi everyone! Well I received my St. Paul's token. I have to tell you to remember that pictures in the book are nothing like the real thing. First of all it's very big. Even though it's in a holder I put it up against a Morgan dollar. The difference was I could see part of the rim of the Morgan. That's big. The thickness is almost the same. Let's say you send in a Jefferson nickel to be graded. If they can count the steps on the reverse they put it on the label and the price goes up. My First Carson City Coin

Young Numismatists Exchange | user_7392

Some things always seem unattainable. Along with coin collecting, I play baseball. In particular, I am a pitcher, and I work very hard in the off season to perfect my game. For the longest time, it seemed that it would be impossible to hit the magic speed of sixty miles per hour. Sixty was so special because it is the speed of a car on the highway. A train blazing across the tracks. One step closer to becoming a great pitcher. In coins, I also had an impossible goal of owning a coin from the Carson City mint. Well, I did end up hitting 60 mph, and likewise, I recently purchased my first Carson City coin.

| ShriekenGriffon

This blog is just a quick correction about the one I wrote on the 23rd. I said that A Guide Book of Franklin and Kennedy Half Dollars was written by Q. David Bowers. I was wrong and the author is actually Rick Tomaska. Sorry for this and I am doing this because I want to give credit to the right person where credit id due. This is all for now and HAPPY EASTER; praise God for Jesus being alive!
