How has it been going guys? Two days ago, or Oct. 29, was my birthday. As some of you know from my blog i posted earlier, I am planning on going to a coin show in Chattanooga, TN, on Nov. 13-15. This means I have recently been hooked up with cash for this coin show. I will write a blog later on what I pickup but for now let's focus on this blog. Today in the mail(oct 31), I got a lovely 1917 Buffalo nickel from the October YN auction. It is in very fine condition and is a clean, slightly toned piece. I can add it to my fairly small, but slowly growing, buffalo collection. Along with those cool things, I found something cool on the world wide web. It is a Back to the Future coin from the Perth Mint of Australia. Yes, I realize I am late for this since Back to the Future day was a bit back. I will also admit that I know nothing about this movie, but I will show you the coins anyway. Here is the link for it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nd9w8Is7sLc&index=1&list=PL4D1L3NdDmWC50MuWnRvvDfLozR3oI3oB. In the box is a model of the Delorean Time Machine. When you press the back of the car, the hood pops open and the car lights up. In the hood is, you guessed it, the 1oz silver coin. It is .999 pure silver proof with a limited mintage of 7,500. On the obverse of the coin is the Delorean Time Machine hovering and it is colored. On the reverse is her majesty the longest ruling British monarch(which is another coin produced recently by PM), Elizabeth II. It is a really cool coin and I don't even know about or like this movie/show( or whatever it is :). There is also a similar gold coin that I don't know much about. Also, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I would like you to know that the Royal Canadian Mint has made a Haunted Canada series with the coin being of a headless brakeman: http://www.mint.ca/store/coins/haunted-canada-brakeman-2015-prod2500025#.VjUfQSsXd-8. The coin is painted and when you tilt it the lamp the man holds turns on and off. The specifications are a composition of monoply nickel plated steel. Also, it is a specimen finish and a 25 cents face value coin. The designer is Susana Blunt and the mintage is limited to only 15,000. Well this all I have for now and look for my blog on the coin show later on. Thanks for reading and comment down below on what you think.Adios!
