World’s Fair of Money Vacation (Show Pictures)
Here are the photos that I took at the show itself. These are the final photos from the trip but the National Money Show in Irving is coming very soon and I will get some more pictures there.

This year the National Money Show was held at the Irving convention center in Irving, Texas. Since the National Money Show was being held in my neck of the woods I decided to take friday off and see how much trouble I could get into. I was able to add an 1878 7/8TF Weak VAM-41A, 1884, and 1890 to my collection. See the pictures below or visit my updated set on my profile.

For the third day of my trip, I had changed my itinerary to include the Denver Mint instead of going on the forth day as I had planned. So I woke up around 4:00 and got dressed and headed out of Colorado Springs so that I could be first in line to get tickets for the Mint Tour. To my surprise they had closed the Mint tours that week because the security that works the tour was at the show. I was able to get a picture of the front gate though. After leaving down town Denver I headed to Idaho Springs to go on the Argo Gold Mine & Mill tour. It was a great tour and very informative but if you have bad knees I would not recommend it.
Photos from the Money Museum.
Here are some more photos from the Cripple Creek area.
Here are photos from the Cripple Creek area including the currently operational surface mine just up the road from the Mollie Kathleen.
Here is the second batch of photos from the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine.
I decided to divide the photos up from day 2 since there are so many. This will be Mine Photos1 with Mine Photos2 coming by 9/13/2017.
These are all of the photos from the first day of my trip. I was unable to load them before because the site said the file size of each photo was to large. I now have an app that shrinks the file size of the photos so enjoy.
As everyone who has been reading my blogs knows I had a very well laid out plan for my Denver trip and the World's Fair of Money. Unfortunately on Wednesday I arrived very early in the morning to guarantee my spot in line for the mint tour to find that it was closed until the following Monday because the guards that help with the tour where all at the show. So I will have to plan a trip back to Denver someday to take that tour. That is kinda good as it gives me a reason to drive back and see all of the wonderful mountain views.
