Peace dollar ser

Coins | user_11790

It took me 4 years, I finally completed BU set of one of my favorite coins!

Thanks for all the great comments! it was a great ride! I'm very, very happy and proud of my set! Even my wife was impressed!

All the coins are raw and with help from my coin dealer(whom I established a great relationship) was able to get my coins.

That's great. Can tell us a little about it? I have done the same but not all BU. There are some pricey ones in that condition. Well done..

Thank you!I think for me the key was the research, of course. But having a great coin dealer! I told him my goal and he helped me along the way, even putting aside some coins for me. As a regular customer, I received some good deals too!.

You will remember this for ever. Nothing like the feeling you have now. Congratulations. And if they say you can't do it. Show them you can. I put a rare set together five years. They said no way the set is 225 years old. I said I'm going to do it . I will find the tokens. The members of the ANA helped me and when i was going to give up they picked me up. Good for you. A short blog but an important one. Keep up the good work. Pat

That is a great accomplishment, especially in Uncirculated condition, are they all raw, a mixture of raw and slabbed, or all slabbed?

Hi, sorry for the delay in responding. they're all raw coins. I had a lot help from my coin dealer. I followed rule of finding a good coin dealer and stuck with him all the way through.

Congrats I would love to hear more about it.

Thank you! it was a great ride! I think the key for me was the great relationship I have with my coin dealer, I was able to obtain the pricier ones at a good prices. I am really proud of this set!

I always liked the Peace Dollars, I guess my main goal was to put together a set that could be easily attainable. I bought books, looked online and them went to my regular coin dealer and told him what I was planning to do. He was a huge help! I went for the low hanging fruit (so to speak)first then saved up for the pricier ones. It was a fun journey the only setback is every time I look at my set I I see a coin that I could upgrade to a nicer looking one, they're all nice but I could step one or two up a bit!
