1935 Venezuela Silver 1 Bolívar Coin

Coins-World | AC coin$

This circulated yet quite preserved one Bolívar coin was minted in .835 Silver in 1935. This year ended the former post-revolutionary period which ran for over forty years.

The coin brings us a depiction of liberator and National hero Simón Bolívar on its reverse facing left, and the National Coat of Arms on its obverse.

Silver was meant to circulate regularly and even though Venezuela was rebuilding itself into stability, the quantities issued for this specific year were not that high.

However, under President Vicente Gómez, the Republic reached a most wanted peace and open markets status desired by many interests in the region, including the United states of America.

In this and further years many exploratory, mining, and agricultural activities were launched and supported by other nations. My coin here is considered relevant as it marks a closure to a National revolutionary phase and a walk into a more modernworld. Enjoy this nice sample of my extensive international currency collection.

In my own words.
