New Summer Seminar Location
A few days ago, the ANA started to release some limited information on the 2021 Summer Seminar. With a vaccine close and almost on its way, it seems that this year's summer seminar will go on as scheduled. This year, there has been a big change though. June 19-July 1st, the annual event will not be taking place at the Colorado College campus but instead will be taking place in either The Antler's hotel or the University of Denver. Both locations look nice at first glance but for numismatists who have been going to Summer Seminars for years, it will be an odd change to the site which was used for a very long time. Nothing else has been released as of yet and I'm excited to see how everything pans out this year. Hopefully, nothing prevents them from hosting it this year. What do you guys think? Will it be a good change of pace or will the Summer Seminar lose some of its charms?

I hope it truly is allowed. The vaccine may or may not be that widely used before then.

It will be great where ever they decide to hold Summer Seminar. I've never attended but hope to in the future ; )

It looks like The Antlers (a Wyndham Hotel) is in Colorado Springs. That would be cool.

I am sure it will be a great experience, and a great learning experience no matter where it is held. To bad that the normal location can't hold the seminar. Wish i lived closer to the money museum. Would like to visit, but probably not going to drive that far, especially when each state has lock down and travel restrictions.

They will probably require proof of vaccination (if it's widely available by then) and will probably also somewhat limit the attendee numbers. If they choose the Antler's, then at least folks can still visit the library and ANA HQ but if its U of D, then those things may not be readily available unless they do a field trip. In any event, hope it works out for all those who are anxiously awaiting a return to ANA summer fun.

Sucks that you will be so far from the ANA and their Money Museum. It is very cool. Wait and see what happens.

People will be glad for a chance of normalcy, I think its the people that matters most anyway, seeing old friends and making new ones...

I haven't been to either location, but sooner or later I want to take a flight out to denver for the seminar. Maybe they changed locations because the new location would be easier to keep a safe social distance.

they changed locations because the Colorado College campus isn't allowing anyone for the summer due to the coronavirus.

I really hope it works out. Even in a new venue it should be an awesome experience. Fingers crossed.

I have yet to attend an ANA summer seminar, so personally, I am extremely excited to hear that it may be happening. I think that all the YNs will make the best of it. While it may lose some of its charm, its the gathering of YNs from all around the country that makes the summer seminars special. I hope to see some of you there! Cheers, NM
