What I would like to collect

| user_88687

I haven't blogged in a while. Recently I've been busy going to scout camp and Florida. Then before I knew it it was back to school and I had lots of homework and a lot more on my mind besides coins. I haven't thought much about going onto this website. I did start thinking more about coins over the summer though. I just recently got the American Silver Eagle coin set. It is every year from the beginning to present. I thought about starting to collect dimes. If I were to though I wouldn't know where to start. If you have any suggestions could you please leave a comment below. I just don't know if there is a good set to start with for dimes. I'm going to try to start going on more and keeping active. If you have any suggestions please comment below. Thanks.

| user_88687

I'm sorry I haven't blogged recently. I have been doing a lot of school work lately so I haven't been able to blog recently. I am taking a break from the dollar project and will work on it again later. Instead I am working on organizing the coins that I have right now. Also I am getting involved in another coin club and I am going to be going to one of there meetings. I am going to try to blog more recently. Please let me know if you know any coin clubs you would recommend.

what I have been doing

| user_88687

I haven't blogged in a very long time and I figured that I would blog since I had the time to. Recently I have been working with my mom to look at coins and see which ones I should collect and which ones have no value. I haven't worked on my dollar project for all while but I will be doing some more work on that soon and I will blog again to let you know how I'm doing on it. I will hopefully finish it soon and remember to blog more often. Remember to keep your eye out for my next blog telling the progress that I have made and possibly telling you what coin I received.

found all of my facts

| user_88687

I just finished writing all my facts that I need for my second dollar project. Now I'm still not done. I still have to write about it and then mail it in. That is the easy part though. Then all I have to do is mail it in and then wait for them to send me the new coin. I can't wait to receive my new coin. I will most likely get it in the mail by tomorrow. I will blog again when I receive my new coin if not sooner,

Started project 2.

Coins | user_88687

I started doing the research for my second dollar project. Now that I have picked out my 1979 Susan B. Anthony coin all I have left to do is the research. I found out while researching that the cold war was going on that year. Also it was the year that "C'mon Aussie C'mon" was released . That is an Australian Cricket anthem. And I learned that that year The Lord of Rings Radio Series was released. I think that it is amazing what you can learn by doing these projects. Did you know that "O Say Can You Say" was also released that year. " O Say Can You Say" is a collection of 24 silly tong twisters for children 4 to 8 years old." The solo album "Off the Wall" puts Michael Jackson at a superstar status. Also " Bye Bye Brasil" a French, Argentine, and Brazilian film was released. That is all I have for now. I will blog again when I have more information.

Project 2 corrections

| user_88687

I realize that when you are doing the second dollar project that you have to pick any dollar coin not any random coin. I decided that I would do the coin that I got in the mail for completing the first dollar project. That is a Susan B. Anthony dollar coin. Now all I have to do is complete the task. After I complete the task I will earn either a minted Eisenhower dollar between the years 1971 and 1978. Please let me know what you think in the comments below and I will blog again when I finish the task. Please follow me if you aren't already.

Find out 5 interesting facts about things that were happening in the US in that time and 5 facts about things that were happening in different countries at that time. Remember to comment on my blog and tell me what you think and if you aren't following me yet please start following me. I will blog again when I finish the second task if not sooner.

ANA project

| user_88687

On my last project I saw that lots of you asked if this was an ANA project or not. The answer is that yes it is an ANA project and it is easy to find. you have to be between 5 and 17 to be allowed to do this project. To find it you just have to go to your home page and then you scroll down to the young numismatists sections and click on YN games and activities. Then you are able to click on the dollar project. It is the first activity when you are doing the dollar project.

Activity One

| user_88687

Sorry that I didn't say much in my first blog. To complete the first task I had to do a coin rubbing. That is just putting a coin under a piece of paper and using a pencil to rub over it. If you do it correctly you should be able to see what is on the coin. That took me many times till I did a good job on it. Then you have to do a paper in paragraph form telling why you chose to do that coin. I did a steel wheat penny because they were only made one year and I think that that is interesting. Then when your all done you have to mail it to headquarters. Then in a couple of days they will send you a dollar coin. Let me know if you have any more questions about task one.
