Update #8: COINSTAR!

Young Numismatists Exchange | thatcoinguy

Hello fellow YNs and YNH!

First of all, I apologize for my recent inactivity lately. I had some issues with the signing in, but it's all good, and now I should be able to post more regularly. As of recent roll searching finds, I didn't really find anything this week. Academics have started back up for me, and roll searching has dropped on the priority list. But that doesn't mean I will stop. I got a box of cents, 7 quarter rolls, and 2 nickel rolls on Saturday, as I had nothing better to do. No errors, no silver, nothing. The coolest thing I found was a 1956 nickel that was pretty worn. BUT! While I was at the local Ameris branch, I checked the Coinstar and got the coolest haul yet: three wheat cents (1934, 1919, and 1945-S), a pretty good condition steel cent (1943), and a Horrible-0 (New grade!) 1943-D steel cent.

I have also been reading on this site that YNs get a free membership to CONECA, but when I checked on their site, it was $10. Did I miss my chance? Or am I looking in the wrong place?

Keep collecting,

P.S. To make it up to you guys for being inactive, right after I post this blog I will update a bunch of the collections (the national park quarters folder in particular) and add some new ones. Go check them out!

Great pick ups! I recently found some change in the local CoinStar. I still have them on my jewelers tray but will soon go through them and create a post for them! I agree with Mike, do well in school and collecting!

I can't remember the last time I found anything in a coin star machine. Good for you. Thanks. Join CONECA!

Nice blog! As far as the free membership to CONECA, you can still take advantage of the offer. To take advantage of it, email yn@conecaonline.org the following information: your name, your mailing address, your ANA #, and the coupon code: CONECAYN#16 Hope this helps! Being a member at CONECA is awesome! In every issue of their ERRORSCOPE magazine, there is a way for YNs to get free error/variety coins! I am sure you will love being a member. All the best, Elliot

I'm trying to join right now!

Nice finds again ! I should do more bank roll searching. I did purchase 40 rolls of wheats on ebay. Quite the rolls with most in the teens, twentys and thirtys with many mintmarks. I am still searching my 5000 wheat bag, and have found many pre 1941 wheats. Never expected to find many pre 1941. Lors of 1910, 1919 etc. Will make a list of what I end up with.
