interesting
FWIW, all publications take submissions, but some just encourage it more than others.

The Error Scope, CONECA, is great for this. They have been very generous to me. Of course the article must apply to errors.

I submitted an article last October 2021. I herd yesterday February 10 2022 that my article will be published . I had to sign a form send in a head shot. Now come October 2022 they will send a final cut for my approval. Then in December it will be published. That's along waite. But I'm not going anywhere so I appreciate them doing this. I have been published before in the Clarion Magizine. Maybe like long strider said if you have been published before in anything it will help. Also not taking payment I think helps.. So finally I will be published in the Numismatist. If you can spell that right you should be. Never give up. I have always said that. I never gave up. Thanks !

This is a great thread to read. I know that, unfortunately, some publications have gone to a "recognition" only mode of compensating writers. I hope that anyone on this thread who's going to get published in the periodical is compensated monetarily. Numismatics is a rewarding field, in and of itself, but a lot of effort can sometimes go into writing articles, especially when one needs to meet a deadline for publication in a particular issue. I know, because I've had one or more magazine articles published as well, though I was compensated monetarily. Wishing all on this thread best wishes!
