Agreed. How about these other holy grail pieces? That 2 1/2 dollar piece is a beauty. I have that Star-Spangled Banner Bicentennial Silver Dollar Set. My wife and I toured the Denver Mint a couple of years ago, and I saw that coin in the gift shop. I ended up buying a proof Silver Eagle because it was so beautiful, but after we got home, I couldn't stop thinking about the Star-Spangled Banner coin and called the mint up and had it mailed out to me. That was when I started collecting with an emphasis on Commemorative sets I wanted and Silver Eagles. I have always really wanted that Star-Spangled Banner silver $. I have this thing for coins with Lady Liberty on them, and that is one of the coolest in my opinion. I have that same "thing" for Lady Liberty. Awesome!

My only true "grail" is a 1955 poor man's DD. It's in really good condition. I think it's worth $200... and I found 2 in the same coin roll! ;)

@user_9998 (Third time is the charm, I hope?) My "grail" coins: US - 1964-D Peace Dollar or 1969-S Cent DDO. World or foreign - 1839 "Una and the Lion" Five Pounds from Great Britain. Ancient - Eid-Mar Denarius or Syracusan Tetradrachm. My favorite coin in my collection changes from time to time, but for now it's my 1946 Walking Liberty Half Dollar with a DDR, because it's one of my best cherrypicks to date and it's in near Gem condition - and I only paid "regular" money for it!

After a few days of contemplation I guess my "Holy Grail" would be a $1 FRN CA Block Note printed on Gilbert Paper or the 1963 $1 FRN BB Block with a 443 back plate number.

My holy grail right now would be a Spanish Doubloon to go with the Piece of Eight I have. :)
