Summer Seminar Scholarships
Summer Seminar is a once-a-year opportunity for numismatic learning and camaraderie that offers students a varied selection of week-long courses designed for discovery or continued study.
For over 50 years, Summer Seminar has featured classes to suit virtually every collector’s hobby needs. Most importantly, everyone attending Summer Seminar shares a common trait: a passion for numismatics.
Below is a list of scholarships offered by the American Numismatic Association and various clubs throughout the nation.

Criteria: Applicant must be ANA members 18 and older.
Charles O. Browne Scholarship
Criteria: Applicants must be ANA members age 15-25. Please see additional criteria on form.

National Coin & Bullion Association
The NCBA is accepting applications for its annual Diane Piret Memorial Young Numismatist Scholarship. The scholarship will cover one week’s tuition and roundtrip airfare to the ANA’s 2023 Summer Seminar. Eligible applicants must be age 13 to 22 at the time of the seminar.

National Silver Dollar Round Table (NSDR) Scholarship
The National Silver Dollar Roundtable (NSDR) is holding an essay contest for a young numismatist (YN) age 18 or younger to attend one week of the 2024 ANA Summer Seminar, the hobby’s premier educational event (airfare included). Essays should be 300-500 words long and can cover any aspect of U.S. silver dollars. They must be written without outside help.
The submission deadline is March 1. First-, second-, and third-place winners will be announced March 17. The first-place winner will receive the coveted scholarship, while second and third-place will earn a U.S. Savings Bond for $500 and $250, respectively.

North Carolina Numismatic Association Scholarship
The NCNA is offering a scholarship for one YN to go to the American Numismatic Association (ANA) 2023 Summer Seminar in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Pacific Northwest Numismatic Association
The PNNA offers two full one-session scholarships for an Adult and a YN (Young Numismatist) collector to attend the annual ANA Summer Seminar, held on the campus of The Colorado College in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado. Upstate Coin & Gold Young Numismatist Scholarship
Criteria– The applicant must be a full-time student and an ANA member age 13 to 17.
PNG 2024 YN Scholarship Competition
The Professional Numismatists Guild (www.PNGdealers.org) again will provide a scholarship to a deserving young numismatist (YN) to attend one of the four-day sessions of the American Numismatic Association (www.money.org) 2024 Summer Seminar in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
“We are delighted to continue our long tradition of providing a YN scholarship for the popular, annual ANA educational programs. The PNG scholarship will cover airfare, tuition for one of the two 2024 Summer Seminar sessions, meals, and dormitory accommodations on the campus of Colorado College, adjacent to the ANA headquarters,” said PNG Executive Director John Feigenbaum.
“All young numismatists between the ages of 13 and 22 are eligible to enter and are cordially invited to apply for the scholarship, but time is short. Entrants must submit a short essay outlining why they should be chosen as this year’s scholarship recipient. The deadline for receipt of the entries is Friday, March 29, 2024,” explained Feigenbaum.
Entries must include the applicant’s name and contact information. The essays can be sent by email to info@PNGdealers.org or by mail to the PNG Executive Director, 27890 Clinton Keith Rd., Suite D141, Murrieta CA 92562.
The two separate ANA Summer Seminar four-day sessions will be held from Sunday, June 16, to Wednesday, June 19, and from Sunday, June 23, to Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
