It's a Law

Exonumia | DrDarryl

Almost mid-year and this is my first post of 2019! I've been extremely busy with my full-time career as an engineer.

The document image (parts redacted) is research evidence that backs my research on Special Medals for US Government Agencies (aka special Government medals (sGm)!! I'm still researching this law and I don't want anyone to steal my thunder...

There is a US Government law that authorizes departments (or agencies) to purchase and award honor awards. The US Mint accommodate this law by employing a function to manufacture special medals for US Government agencies. Another piece of this puzzle solved!

My previous blogs discuss the sGms in my research.

Great blog! Especially since I have one of these in my collection! Thanks again!

I agree .. I also know that they can and will continue to make these medals. I don't know any reason they cant.. Thanks again for your info.

I thought you have already backed up your hypothesis with all your research. Well, I recon one can't have too much proof. Thanks Doc.. By the way. That medal with the bison on it that you show here and previously blogged on, cost me money. My wife is a giant buffalo/bison fan. Thanks, she deserves it..

I have the Navy's distinguished civilian service award medal but it is attached to a ribbon so not the same as your examples.

Interesting; I look forward to future posts regarding this
