Recent Finds And Purchases | Coin Update #42
Hello all!
I thought it was about time that I wrote another update, so let's go!
First up, I am going to tell you what I hunted and what I found. Secondly, I am going to briefly let you know what numismatic stuff I got for Christmas, and lastly, I am going to share some awesome purchases.
So, over the days of Christmas Eve, Christmas, and a couple of days after Christmas, I went through a lot of coins. I hunted 3 boxes and 23 rolls of halves, 10 rolls of quarters, 10 rolls of nickels, and 10 rolls of cents. Unfortunately, out of all of the half dollars I didn’t find a single silver-but I did find some other cool stuff. In the first box I found a really strangely toned 1994-P, a 1976-S Bicentennial proof, and two keepable clashes. In the other two boxes I found two more proofs (a 2000-S and a 2014-S), a really cool 1982-P No FG (and I mean there isn’t even the slightest bit of it visible-it is completely gone), an 1983-S that appears to be struck through grease, my first ever RPM half dollar-a 1971-D RPM-001 (I actually stumbled across this one on accident-I was checking the coin for a DDO and accidentally noticed the RPM), a really nicely toned 1977 half dollar, and 7 keepable clashes. Throughout the quarters I didn’t find anything of note, but in the nickels and pennies I had some awesome finds. In the cents, I found a really cool WDDR-001 2015 cent. In the nickels I found my first ever nickel die clash-a 1974-D. Well that about wraps it up for the finds, now let’s move on to what I got for Christmas.
I actually got two things that were numismatic for Christmas. I got a bag of 500 wheat pennies (blog about that coming soon) and a stacking silver RobFindsTreasure coin roll hunting mat. I really like the mat-it is like a giant mouse pad. It has a rubbery bottom so that it will stay in place, and a soft top for coins.
Finally, I have some cool purchases to share. I recently went on a little bit of a spending spree on ebay-and I have six coins to share with ya’ll. They are all PCGS certified with gold shield slabs and true view. All the prices that I got them for are before tax. First up is a PF-67RD 1962 Lincoln Cent with nice pink toning (it seems to have progressed since it’s true view was taken). I was able to talk the seller down on this one and ended up getting it for $27. Next is a PF-66 1962 Benji half with a little bit of cameo and a little toning. I was able to talk the seller down to $30 (I don’t remember how much he had it listed at originally). Next up is a G-06 1856 seated quarter. I got this one because I really like seated coinage-especially seated quarters. For this one I offered the seller $40-and he accepted! He originally had it listed at $66-which was a price I wasn’t willing to pay. Next up is a MS-64 1951 Booker T. Half. I was able to get this one for $40 as well. I also was able to grab a 1945-D MS-66 war nickel for $30. Lastly is probably the best deal that I got-an MS-65RB 1955 Lincoln Cent with some nice green toning on the reverse and a pretty strong clash (under Lincoln’s chin) for $11. All of these coins are visible on my registry: https://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/coinhunter4/profile/98003
Anyways, thanks for reading my blog and have a great day!

Nice! I do have some slabbed coins ( 8 in total), but I go them all for free from the ANA( thank you donors!), because I have an extremely tiny budget, and my 1 seated liberty is not slabbed. Nice Pickups, and nice blog!
