It's the end of the year, time to think about what was accomplished and not accomplished. The other day I went to lunch with a friend who owns a bookstore. He spoke of what he wants for his store in 2018. I mentioned a few book projects I was considering. As a bookseller, he had an opinion on what kind of novel project I should work on next. I got home and looked over my work in 2017 and thought of what to do in 2017.

Summer is winding down. School is back in session. Vacation time is almost over, and the eclipse is over too. Time to get back to real life for a while as the autumn season (and football season!) sets in.

Underrated set

Collecting out of circulation got a shot in the arm when the Statehood Quarters were introduced in 1999. Putting a set together led to some new collectors discovering the long Washington quarter series. But there is another long series--over 70 years now--that can be fun to collect.
