Yesterday was bookstore day. Even the bookstores are preparing for the holidays, with special gift books for sale, coffee table books, art books.
Happy to buy the brand new Red Book! There's nothing like this handy volume to inform a new collector, or one with more experience. Everything is included--colonials, Mint issues from 1792 until now, territorial pieces, patterns, even sections on modern medals and the Red Book itself.
Reference books and auction catalogs are part of being a numismatist. Of course, most everyone has a Red Book, maybe a Blue Book too. But there are so many other references that are needed in a library.
