I think I've learned more in this past year that mail is not dead. I have become active in coin collecting again, and with mail coming from the ANA, eBay, and now CONECA, I have had a lot of mail. Yesterday I got 3 things in the mail. I also got the email stating that I won the item in the YN auction and I should send in my YN dollars. I got my first ever edition of The Errorscope, and my membership card to CONECA. I got my YN dollar request for my blog on doubled dies. I also got an amazing book from the ANA library, The Cherrypickers' Guide to Rare Die Varieties!!! I spent 2+ hours yesterday looking at that book, and now I have about 10 more minor varieties that I feel the need to search for in my penny hunts. Thanks to the ANA for making ordering from the library possible! Question for the blog - What is Numismatic organizations are you subscribed to besides the ANA? Happy hunting!
Congrats. I am also a member of the BCCS (Barber Coin Collecting Society), TEC, Civil War Toekn society and the NLG.
It is always nice to have good things happen to you and your hobby.
Great blog. Congratulations on your win. That book is priceless. I am a member of PAN, CONECA, The Civil War Token Society, and The Society of Silver Dollar Collectors. Thanks.
Coin collecting is such a great hobby as you have learned. I am a member of ANA, of course, CONECA, Liberty Seated Collectors Club, Pennsylvania Association of Numismatists (PAN), Western Pennsylvania Numismatic Society, and the South Hills Coin Club. All of them bring some great benefit to my numismatic table but I think I like PAN the best because they are statewide, have their twice a year shows only about 15 miles from my home, and allow me to volunteer at their events. I am also looking forward to ANA returning to Pittsburgh next August for the WFM, another opportunity to volunteer. LOVE IT!!!
Congratulations. I'm very happy you won your lots. I hope you enjoyed it. Without Sam there would be no auction. Thank you for your kind words . That book you have up Sam was one of the editors. Great book enjoy it. Take care Pat
