New Items

I recently got my YN auction item in the mail! I think I bided $YN 170 on it. It is a sample slab from the YN program of June 2019. I think they were given out as prizes for YN's who completed the Treasure Trivia challenge. The coin in the slab is a American Memorial Park quarter dated 2019. It doesn't have a grade, but its definitely uncirculated. I also recieved my literary plaque from CONECA a few days ago. I got it for writing an article for their magazine!

CONECA Contest prize

So today I got my prize for winning the CONECA crossword contest! There was some pretty good stuff in it, and I will be telling you all what I got. The first thing I got was a 1960 D cent that said that if you go to variety vista then you can try to attribute it. I think it is a repunched mintmark of some sort. The next thing I got was a 2001 broadstruck cent certified by PCI, graded MS65 Red. The next thing is a 1984 D cent that is apparently partially unplated. I am not sure if this is an actual error, commet your opinion down below. The last thing I got was a magnifying loupe. It is a triplet with a 10x - 18x and a 20x - 12mm. I will be adding pictures of all these later, commet what you think about these items!

CONECA Article Published!

Yes, It has been awhile scene I posted a blog. I am sorry for the inconvenience, but I have some exciting news to share. For those of you who didn't already know, I recently had an article published in CONECA's magazine, the Errorscope! CONECA crossword puzzle prizes!

So today I finally got the prizes from the CONECA crossword contest! I opened it up right away, and here is what I got. I got a certified by PCI, a broad struck 2001 Lincoln Cent. I also got a Partial Unplated Lincoln cent! I had a lot of fun on this crossword contest. And if you are not already a CONECA member, I suggest you become one soon. Have a nice day! -Jude

Coin Searching - CONECA crossword results!

I just went to my Grandma and Grandpa's house again yesterday. They had more rolls for us to search through. I went through 6 cent rolls. Their bank is always really good for finding Lincoln Bicentennials, I found 8 of them, one of every design. I also found one 1941 wheat cent. Now, in the November to December edition of the CONECA magazine. I filled out the crossword puzzle for YN's. I received an email today that I won! She is going to send me my prize next week. Tell me if any of you sent in answers to the crossword puzzle.�Also, have a Happy Thanksgiving!�

Mail?

I think I've learned more in this past year that mail is not dead. I have become active in coin collecting again, and with mail coming from the ANA, eBay, and now CONECA, I have had a lot of mail. Yesterday I got 3 things in the mail. I also got the email stating that I won the item in the YN auction and I should send in my YN dollars. I got my first ever edition of The Errorscope, and my membership card to CONECA. I got my YN dollar request for my blog on doubled dies. I also got an amazing book from the ANA library, The Cherrypickers' Guide to Rare Die Varieties!!! I spent 2+ hours yesterday looking at that book, and now I have about 10 more minor varieties that I feel the need to search for in my penny hunts. Thanks to the ANA for making ordering from the library possible! Question for the blog - What is Numismatic organizations are you subscribed to besides the ANA? Happy hunting!

Free CONECA membership!

WOW. In this addition of Your Newsletter, the organization CONECA, Combined Organization of Error Coin Collectors of America, offered YN's a FREE subscription to the Errorscope, their bimonthly publication! I think it is great that they are doing this for YN's, I have been wanting a subscription to this for a while! I don't know if you will get it in the mail, or by email, or if you will get the free error coin or variety they promise, but all the same, I am very excited to receive my first edition of Errorscope!
