**Where have all the Coins Gone?**

Coins | Kepi

Hi everyone! I ran across this flyer today and wanted to share it with my fellow "Numi's". It seems there's a bulk coin shortage out there in the land of plenty. With the Mints being closed for business while the virus is still running its course, coins are becoming hard to get in bulk, especially for businesses as you can see with this flyer! Like an old fashioned "Wanted" poster... ; ) Got Coins???

**Now That's A Pile of Change!**

Coins | Kepi

It's that time of year again! My change jar is full... I've been putting all the change I get for a whole year in this jar and believe me it won't hold anymore. This is an exciting time for me as I have no idea whats in there. I just "throw" it in... haha Well gently, just in case there's a "better" coin in there. ; ) Ya never know! It will take me awhile to sort through this pile, but as soon as I do I'll let you know what I found and how much $$$ was saved! Hope you enjoyed my collection! Feel free to comment as always!

**Big Hobby, Small World**

Coins | Kepi

We here at the ANA are so fortunate to be surrounded by fellow collectors and coin enthusiast whom we can talk to and share ideas with. It's always fun to show off our collections, write blogs and leave comments. When I think of coins I think of the ANA web-site and all it has to offer. It's having a special group of friends with a like hobby. I've never really given it much thought about other people around me in my daily life who might be interested in Numismatics as well. Until the other day.... I had received two copies of the new Kagin's Auction catalog in the mail and decided to bring the extra one to work. To my great surprise two fellow co-workers we're also into coins and currency! Who would have thought! ; )

"6 Months of saved pocket change"...

Coins | Kepi

It was time to empty the ol' jar of saved pocket change from about 6 months of tossing it in everyday! Always exciting to see what you might find and how much you actually saved. This jar full weighed about 19 pounds, netted me $225.00 and after going through every coin I found one 1964 Silver Quarter. Not bad for a day of fun! : ) Now to start all over again! Who else saves all their change?

" CRAZY LEGS " COUNTERFEIT DETECTION

Coins | Kepi

"Counterfeit Detection Guide" . This is a great pocket guide written by Bill Fivaz. I used it while looking for a 3-Legged Buffalo Nickel. As you can see there are 4 main characteristics to a real 3-Legged Buffalo. The one, to me that really stands out is what looks like a "pee-pee" stream leading down from the Buffalo's belly to the ground. Also that 3rd leg is missing but the hoof remains.

MY 3 LEGGED BUFFALO " CRAZY LEGS "

Coins | Kepi

This is my 1937-D 3-Legged Buffalo Nickel! I've wanted one for so long and was finally able to get one! I call him " Crazy Legs " : ) This is the first slabbed coin I purchased and has been a great beginning to my coin collection! There are many counterfeits out there, so you have to be careful. Does anybody know what to look for? I'll tell you the answers on my next blog.

**Themed Coin Collections**

Coins | Kepi

I love Buffalo's! Especially in Numismatics. Here I'm showing my " American Buffalo 2014 Perth mint for Tuvalu $1 High Relief-Early Releases Proof 70 Ultra Cameo" ...boy that's a mouth full... haha!!! The photo's were tricky to take as this is a concave coin. This is one of many themed Buffalo coins and currency that I have collected over the past few years. Does anyone else have something special they like to collect with a theme in mind?
