IT'S TONER TUESDAY AGAIN!
Well, It's Tuesday again. Time to show off anything you have toned. Coins, bullion, tokens, medals, whatever. Show us your baby on the Forum. Thanks.

I just found out from the powers that be at the ANA , there is a problem with putting pictures up on a new blog for everyone. Maybe that is why there haven't been any new blogs for a couple of days. I know it stops me. I feel a photo makes a good blog better. They are working on it. Lets hope it is fixed soon. Whatever "it" is. Thanks

I have only been collecting POW chits for about a year. I find them amazing bits of history. My interest grew out of my MPC studies. Since my dad served in Italy during WWII and we are of Italian descent, I try to concentrateon that area but also collect others that interred Italian soldiers as well as Italian Service Units, “ISU”.
Today I would like to share a very special coin I just received. I saw these on a coin group on Facebook. The guy selling is named Joe Poanessa but, as you will see, he is out of them.
PCGS California Office Has Resumed Operations
I am going to keep this short as my hand has had some surgery. I was looking for a 1893 Morgan dollar for my type set album the other day. This coin is a bit pricey as there were only 378,000 minted in Philly. I ran into this cast hobo type dollar, I am calling it. I am a fan of the Mexican holiday of “Dia de los Muertos” or Day of the Dead, and Hobo Nickels after meeting "Tiny" at a Summer Seminar, so I picked it up.
This is going to sound like I am "tooting my own horn", as is said, but I am putting this blog up as I want to show the silver bar. Around last month I sent in an article to the CONECA newsletter, ErrorScope, for consideration. Much to my surprise it was accepted. It can now be seen on the new Sept/Oct issue on pages 14 & 15. It is a rewrite of one of my blogs; "Back in the VAM Saddle Again" that first appeared here. It would never have happened if not for the help and prodding of my friend here at our site. You know who you are Cuz. As a gift for "being published", my beautiful, young wife gave me the gift below.
No doubt many of my fellow ANA members receive The Coin Update and have already seen this article. I feel the need to bring it to everyone's attention during this holiday, Memorial Day. Have you ever notice coins on the grave markers at some cemeteries' and wondered what the deal was? Here is a brief history of the practice.
