Closer To Cashless Society ?

Paper Money-World | SpartaCuse

Do these events present any concern to anyone else? - I realize this is not a coin collecting blog post so to speak, though I do believe it is a pathway to eliminating currency & coinage at some point in the future - I guess it would make collectibles more collectible - Let me know your thoughts !

Anything is possible. The assimilation to total electronic payments is coming. However, as long as the US Mint makes profit on all coins it creates coins for collectors will always be made. Even if the profit to the US Mint is through contracts to private minting companies.

Interesting theory I'm interested in learning in more. Thanks for sharing this with everyone

I don't have a Chrystal ball so I don't have an idea when or how it can happen a thousand different ways and don't forget the other countries!

It would probably result in hoarding in coins. My theory, which is probably incorrect, is that coins and currency would virtually disappear as people would hoard coins, believing that they would be rare in the future.
