Copper Quarter? the other is just interesting
Since I am bored not having anything else to do, I have been spending most of my time annoying the bank tellers buying and returning my coins. I am sure many of you are the same.
Well, I got me three rolls of quarters. I found these two. I love the one that has no color at all. It looks like a copper coin. I might be wrong...LOL

Interesting contrast, good way to come about coins. Evaluation.

It depends on how thick it is, however if it is missing a clad layer it can be very valuable.

I am thinking the one on the left was acid treated. But it is hard to tell anything from a small photo.

What is the date on the missing clad one? I can't make it out. I pick up coins at my bank and turn them in at my credit union. That way no one gets angry. The credit union even has a free to use Coin Star machine. No rolling.

It's 1974 date.

Love the toning on them! I am the same way. I recognize that error as a missing clad error. I know that state quarters with that error are in the $100-500 price range, but am not sure about the old eagle design. Hope you can figure it out! Keep us posted. Feel free to contact me with any questions, I have done lots of research on this error after acquiring one in a trade. Cya 'round!

Interesting, at first I thought the redder one was a 1954, but then I looked closer....

I agree the one on the left looks like a clad error. The layer did not stay o on the planchet. Who knows. Try a coin store.

I think the one on the left is a clad error. I will have checked with the DVB penny. I'm keeping it anyways

Just very dirty/destroyed coins. Too bad. The banks I get pennies from used to love when I came in, and the bsnk I returned them to did not to say the least. Now, it is the opposite reaction.

I've seen that before, but I have no clue what that is or why that is! Maybe a cladding error?

Not exactly toning, but neat finds! Anything else in there worth mentioning?
