Well I have decided to stop collecting modern coins and focus more on the more classic issues of the us. as well as my other numismatic interests including older and modern tokens, medals, transportation tokens, casino gaming tokens. etc. also I will be ordering the 2017 mega red book 2nd. edition which I found a great deal for from wizard coin supply for $27.48 plus shipping.

latest things going in collecting life

this week I been a little busy but I did managed to pick up a copper coin from  the 3nd century roman empire, and 2 modern silver coins a  2016 1 oz. Australian year of the monkey coin and a 2013 1 oz. Canadian wood bison coin. also this week I went to a small used book store that I've never been to and found a copy of R. Scott Carlton's 1996 International encyclopedic dictionary of numismatics published by Krause publications in very good like new condition. and I am still reading the books that I borrowed from the ANA library. well until next time good luck in all your collecting pursuits.

update on collecting life

well I'm still trying to read as much about coins and coin collecting as I can, I just finished reading the red book guide to tokens and medals of the united states (borrowed from the ana library) which I am very interested in and do own some pieces. since my last post I have been accepted into the blue ridge numismatic association. I will write more as my collecting adventure continues.

still new to collecting

well I'm still trying to get my feet wet in this hobby we call numismatics, it can all be overwhelming to a beginner I've decided to pause on the circulated world (junk) silver coins and concentrate more on us coins and tokens that I can fit in to my budget, a follow up on my last post I just heard from the president of the north Carolina numismatic association and I was accepted. well I guest that's all that's going on in my life for now.
