Christmas!

| A.J.

Hope you all had a good christmas! (or huankkah, or whatever you celebrate) i got a couple things, and i'm going to share them with y'all real quick.Firstly, i finally got a half decent setup for photograpgy of coins! It's a LED magnifying glass that you use a crank to stick onto a surface so you have both of your hands. While it's no direct electric magnifying glass, it's great for taking photos, and that's how i toom the photos you'll see. I also got lots of nice books, mostly on maps of the world, as i'm also interested i  those. Now, to the coins. There's 6 notable ones. There is my first barber quarter (1909 D) in VG 10 condition, (kinda funny, i've ammased over 10k in coins and a bill that only ~5000 of still exist, yet i havent gotten a barber quarter yet!) And then i got a EIC 1808 shipwreck coin (if you want to know, apparently it's from the Admiral Gardner EIC boat) anf it's a neat little thing to have since you know when, and where it was for most of it's life. I also got some 1983/84 olympic silver dollars from my mom, which we've had going through our family for serveral decades. There's also some chineese cash coins i got in my stocking that i cant for the love of me identify. Can someone else do that please? All and all, it was a great christmas. See you all in the new year!

A.J., sound like you had an excellent Christmas haul. I see one of our learned members has already weighed in on your Chinese Cash so I can stand down. Happy New Year my Friend and I hope your collecting endeavors continue throughout 2022.

Love the barber. I need to get that coinscope for identification. I have a Chinese coin that looks like that. Nice collection.

I like where your interests lie. Like yourself, I've been zeroing in on some low mintage under the radar coinage as well lately. No where near your number, close to one hundred I'd guess.

Numista.com and cointrackers.com are excellent tools to idenfy coins . Great start for a New Year .

Hey Angel, there is an App called Coinoscope. It's great for all those coins from Asian and Arabic coins along with the others that are hard to figure out. It's free too! So there's one more present for you! I hope you and your family had a blessed Christmas!
