1956 Honduras 2 "centavos de Lémpira" coin
The name of the Honduran currency is the Lémpira. It carries this name after the National hero and Lenca tribe defender from the 16th century. Opression and slavery inflicted by the conquering Spaniards arose internal upheavals in many sectors during 1577-1598.
Quite rare, my coin here is a 2 "centavos de Lémpira" denomination. Within the late 1940's thru 1950's the Honduran Government issued lumited quantities of this type of coin.
In my own words.
