1970 Mexico 10 Pesos Banknote
In this very significant 10 Pesos Banknote's obverse the face depiction of Father Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla appears as a symbol of how the Mexican Nation came to be. Father Hidalgo was born in 1753 and died in 1811. Beyond being a Catholic Priest, he was a military leader, an inspiration to his peers in matters of political freedom and, the voice who openly called upon Mexicans to fight for independence from Spain.
The Dolores Cathedral is shown on the bill's reverse. This landmark is located in Guanajuato, Mexico. From this place, at the pulpit, Father Hidalgo launched his independence revolutionary call.
Issued by the Bank of Mexico this 10 MXP note is still nicely preserved with 53 years of age. Thanks for your visits and comments.
In my own words.

Mexico has very attractive notes, I wish the U.S. were a bit more creative but I suppose that the Dollar's standing in the world economy precludes major change.

Thanks to you, Bama, for your visits and kind comments. That special man brought renewal to social liberation theories, most needed for change.
