1971 Mexico 10 Pesos Banknote
Around the 1950's thru early 1980's Banxico and its money printing bureau worked the art, texture, size and colorings of all if not most of the banknotes previously launched for circulation. The purpose was to modernize all historical versions and denominations adding security and stronger counterfeit measures to printed notes. Retiring the older banknotes was not an easy task and it has proven to become a lifelong process for the printing division at Distrito Federal, Capital of Mexico and its supporting Casa de la Moneda and the Bank of Mexico.
This note I include here is an example of the above task. My Mexican 10 Pesos note from 1971 shows a variety of features that separates the bill from other eras. Coloring, size and lettering are among the noticeable aspects.
In my own words.
