Disappointed

Coins | user_39492

Hello all, it's been awhile since I've been here and I'm still continuing my journey in this wonderful life of coins and a set of coins I sent off came back. This particular coin I had a post about it so I finally got it to NGC to see if NCS conservation services could remove what I thought to be a milk spot,it wasn't and my heart dropped. Sometimes you win some, but I can say for it to be a Christmas gift from a friend I will cherish it and thanks everyone for getting me to find out the status of this wonderful 1921 Peace Dollar.

Seeing if I'm seeing things

Coins | user_39492

Hi all, hope all is well with the community and just thought I would ask for some help with my eyes. Getting older, but better I was going through my Kennedy Half Dollars and I ran across this 1969-D and some features caught my eye. Now needless to say they produced almost 130 million silver clad JFK'S for circulation that year so it's not a rare coin, but I noticed on the reverse D/D. Now I'm not for sure if it is, but I would like this wonderful community to help this old young guy out. Thanks again for your help and enjoy your day.

1972-D Eisenhower Dollar Discovery

Coins | user_39492

Hello all, I was going through my Ike Dollars over the weekend (haven't seen many post about these coins) and I thought I would share a coin I feel just might be valuable. The 1972-D Eisenhower Dollar mintage was close to 93 million so I feel it's a common coin, but what makes this coin so unique is it D/D reverse. Before I labeled this coin I studied both a regular 1972-D and then this one which I can't see otherwise besides being a D/D reverse. I noticed that the 1972 Eisenhower Dollar had a lot of different things going on that year with the 3 Types (Type 2 being more sought after), but I feel there are a lot more out there to discover. I would love to get feedback from this wonderful community to let me know if I'm right or just seeing things.

Penny Jar Find

Coins | user_39492

Hello everyone, earlier today I was going through my penny jar I've had since my son was about 3(he's 26 and in the Army) and ran across this unusual 1953-S Lincoln Cent. As I took my loupe out to get a closer look at it I discovered first the last "T" in Trust is covered by the rim, but it's not bent. Next after a closer look I saw a die crack from in between IN GOD going down the left side of the head stopping at the ear. Just wanted to look through coins today and get more knowledge of what I love doing now and look at this!!! I don't think it's worth anything and I wouldn't want to get rid of it anyway because I think it's a conversation piece. Gonna look more into this coin, but I thought I would share it with the community, thanks again for reading.
