The year was 1620, after months of sailing on rough seas, the puritans,also known as the pilgrims,finally landed. When the got off, they met strange men who spoke their language. the pilgrims knew nothing about the land in the new world. The natives began showing the white men how to grow crops and other things. the natives also helped the white men build their houses out of logs. The Pilgrims and the natives gathered together, made a meal, and thanked God for their safety,new friends,and their provisions. This is the story of the first thanksgiving.
