My First World's Fair of Money in Chicago (2019) "Spectacular"

| NumisChitown

What an exciting event. Since I was a little boy growing on the Southside of Chicago in the Bronzeville Community, I had a love for collecting coins and examining paper money. Though I never knew what is was called I collected coins from all over the world through my mother who was a Nannie for Timothy Getty that is Jeane Paul Getty's (one of the richest man in the world back then in the late 1960s and early 1970s) grandson who passed a few years ago.. My mother would bring me coins from all over during her travel with the Getty's. Buck Rogering to today's time, I now know what was it that kept me collecting and what it was called.  When I arrived at the Stephenson Convention Center and entered into the showroom it was pure excitement. I recognized that there was nothing wrong with me. There were many more like me who had a passion for old coins and paper money.
There was great food, generous people and members. That Maynard Sundman Littleton Lunch was great. I got to meet Douglas Mudd the Curator for Smithsonian Coin Collection from the ANA and a host of others I consider family.  The 15th Annual  Maynard

Sounds like you had a great time. You took time to meeting people and other things, not just shopping for coins. That is what makes conventions a great time.
