Strike It Rich With Pocket Change: A Review
Hello fellow YNs and YNH!
Today, I will be talking about the book that I owe so much of my error collection to. SIRWPC is amazing. With errors as recent as 2020, this book is up to date, and straight to the point. It explains where to look on the coin for each error, what type of error it is, and a visual of the actual error to make identification a snap. Consider this like a WAY cheaper version of The Cherrypicker's Guide. The coins that are included are: Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Washington Quarter, Kennedy Half Dollar, Ike Dollar, Susan B. Anthony Dollar, Sacagawea Dollar, and Presidential Dollar. Basically all the coins you will most likely find at banks in rolls. The great thing about SIRWPC is that it is an easy to use book. It is organized by denomination, date, and finally mintmark. It is easy to find the certain coin you need to check, although it does not have as many errors as The Cherrypicker's Guide.
Keep collecting,

I like to think everyone still looks at their pocket change, I know I do. When you stop looking your'e probably not a collector anymore. Aside from a 1939 Jefferson double die which I found about 50 years ago, I've never found much else. But I'll always look.

Dang…that’s pretty darn epic to find a 1939 in pocket change anyway, but a DD?!

Although not one who intentionally searches for errors, that's a book I'll be looking for. Thanks for sharing!

Hey if you like errors and varieties try http://www.varietyvista.com/ I learned about while taking James Wiles, PhD class on minting during the summer seminar a few years back. That have it broken down into coin types and then by errors with photos of many.

I don't buy books anymore. Thanks to my injury. That and my wife said the book of you. So I brought them to the library. Thanks for the review.
