Update #5-FINALLY!
Hello fellow YNs and YNH!
Man. It has been a week! With school, my birthday, and life on the horizon, this will definitely NOT be the last update. Let's get right into it!
First of all, I GOT A WEST POINT MINT QUARTER!!!!!😁 It just figures. The week I sort 53 rolls, nothing. The week I sort 3, I get a W. The W quarter is RNR 2019, and I would grade it MS-63. After I found it, I immediately went to put it in a 2x2, only to discover I had no quarter 2x2s left. So I did the only thing a sensible coin collector would do; I made an emergency trip to the local coin dealership. I ended up buying a lot more than a 2x2. Here's the list: 100 quarter 2x2s, 4 nickel tubes for my Westward Journey Nickels, one Indian head cent for my folder, and best of all, a XF-40 1860-O Liberty Seated Half Dime for $25 ($35 Greysheet). The total cost was $33. I made out like a bandit.
When I went into Truist with my dad to withdraw some money the next day, the teller said she had a quarter for me. I thought it would be a PMD coin that she thought was special, but it was actually a 1958-D silver quarter! After that, I picked up a few rolls to sort through to see if there was more silver. I was rewarded with a shiny 1961 quarter. A good silver haul for the week. I also picked up 10 more quarter rolls at a CenterState branch, which yield some low value finds, but nothing worth noting.
On a different note, I ordered a half dollar box that was supposed to come last Monday, but has been pushed to sometime this week. Can't to search that, and will let you know of any cool finds in the next update. Also coming up on Tuesday, is my birthday!!!🥳 I only asked for numismatic items, and will also let you know about what I get.
Keep collecting,
thatcoinguy.

What a week. Good for you. It's not that often for a half dime to enter the subject of a blog. Enjoy that tiny coin while you're young, old age requires the aid of magnification.

It means that some coins will lose there luster especially silver. The packaging in the older sets had a cellophane like pocket for each coin. If it tore the coins would change color and become worthless.

Very nice finds. Silver quarters are always nice to find. I need to look at more coins and find some good stuff. Still working through my 5000 wheat cent bag. Lots of pre 1941 wheats, and lots of teen wheats.

It's very hard to grade a good ten years books classes and practice. Good pick up. Staples to close to the coin can offset the metal in them.. That's why they came out with the self adhesive.

Set the metal of them? What does that mean?
