Buffalo Found! | Coin Update #32
Hello all!
I am happy to announce that I was finally able to get my hands on some more rolls to hunt and that I finally have some coin roll hunting finds to share with you. I was fortunate enough to be able to pick up a box of nickels (my first one in over 4 months) and 2 rolls of quarters. The quarters yielded nothing, but the good news is that the nickels produced multiple finds.
I ended up finding seventeen nickels that were dated from 1939-1959 including a 1954-S that I badly needed for my folder and a really nice 1960 that greatly upgrades the one I have in my folder. U ansi fibbed 3 S-mints from the 60s and 70s. I also found my third ever 2009-P (apparently they are very rare-I have only found 2 in over 6 boxes worth of nickels) and two Canadians. Finally, while I didn't end up finding a silver like I was hoping, I was able to pull a buffalo! The date was almost completely worn off, but I think that maybe it was a 1917. I also found a number of minor doubled die reverse 2013-2021 Jefferson nickels with doubling on the door in the middle of Monticello on the reverse. Some of them are already listed, while others aren't. I am still going through them and figuring out which ones go with which attribution numbers.
I almost forgot to mention this, but I received my 2021 YN auction wins finally! I ended up winning 9 lots (contrary to 10 which is how many I thought I won, but as it turns out, according to the ANA's records, I didn't win the 1878 8TF Morgan, which is why I crossed it out in the picture). I won a NGC MS-67 1966 SMS Kennedy half dollar, a 1995 silver proof set, 3 books, a 1982-S proof Washington Commemorative, a 1944-S Philippines 50 centavos, broadstruck 1974 Philippines 1 Sentimo, and a France 1971 10 Francs, and lastly a BU 1945-D Silver War Nickel.
About the 1945-D Nickel, I was recently checking it out for any varieties and was amazed to find out that is had a nice DDR (in addition to the slight RPM that I already knew about) it is the DDO-006 & RPM-024. As you can see in the pictures, it has some nice split serifs and spread.
Thanks for reading this blog, enjoy the pics, and have a great day!!

Man, your blogs are always legendary. I wish I could get a nickel box, but my bank is saving those for grocery stores only, so I can only order half dollar and dollar boxes (the ones that are under appreciated and not known about). Sadly, I can’t afford either. Maybe I can sneak in to a bank that doesn’t know me and say my dad owns the local Kroger…

Also, I have also found that the 2009-P is very rare as well. I have only found one to date.

Nice finds and blog. 9 lot wins is a lot. How many lots were available? You must earn a lot of YN dollars. Since I am not a YN, i have no idea how it works.

There were 110 lots, and I earn a good amount of YN$ writing these blogs.
