Hi . My son went to mail some coins to NGC. So he went to UPS were we always go. Packages up to the ceilings. They processed it. We got a USPS tracking number. They are not taking anymore packages. So we got in the back door. They stopped.taking packages the post office stopped taking packages at UPS . And Amazon. Is not taking return in boxes. It's a mess. My wife went to another post office 20 minutes from us. Not taking packings. She said I came from third ave. He was a nice guy processed it gave her a tracking number. The guy at UPS said never have they had to totally shut down. People on line at the post office were told only first class mail no packages.. Now this is not just here . One worker said they do not have enough man power. Trucks and it's all over. Not every one depends were you live. He also said it's system wide. So don't expect your coins to get to NGC till Jan 6. Or later!!

There could be several reasons that it should be backed up, like Covid, Christmas, and just general lack of workers (maybe because they have to wear masks all day). My mom has yet to receive a package that should have come a long time ago (it had Christmas presents lol)

There is a shortage of drivers and workers. That has hurt this situation civic is probably another. My mailman brings me my first class mail I'm lucky I got one out. I just hope that this jam up breaks.

Overall, I can't complain about shipping since the large majority arrive on time, in some cases earlier, via USPS. And I receive packages a few times per week. However, there seems to be a major problem near Hagerstown, Maryland with two packages delayed. One for a few weeks, the second ordered and shipped November 30 still at Maryland Heights Distribution Center as of 12/30. That one went from Maryland where it was bought, to Florida, to New Jersey and back to Maryland (a different distribution center than the current). Canada may very well be next.. That buffalo sure does get around!  

I'm waiting on a package shipped with USPS on 12/22. I'm told it's in transit. That means "stuck between the moon and New York City"

My wife's birthday is in November. She just got a card postmarked November 2. Card was received  December 28. . What's the reason for that? I stated it depends where you live. We're a small town . We're not in the big city..Help me with that. Thanks

It's the packages that are backed up, not the letters

I haven't tried to access USPS lately, but I have had some problems getting my deliveries on-time. The first was an E-Bay purchase from a seller in Spain not arriving. Fortunately, all's well that ends well. Still, I think I'll hold off on foreign purchases for a while. I ordered a set of DVDs that came late, and the DVD case was smashed! At least the DVDs were in good shape, and I didn't have to send them back. At least my $600 COVID stimulus was posted to my bank dated 1/4/21. It's nice to see that at least something is efficient!
