Building Tomorrows: Inspiration and Innovation at World's Fairs

Hello everyone, and welcome to the official 2015 National Coin Week forum! We would love to read your ideas on what to highlight this year, from numismatic objects to ideas and architecture highlighted at World's Fairs and Expos throughout history. Any feedback you can provide about activities and contests would be appreciated as well.

Check the ANA's NCW page in the coming weeks. Thanks!

I would suggest that participants/attendees at the World Fair have an opportunity to post their thoughts and ideas for possible designs for our current coinage and paper money. My first thought would be that the one dollar note has a large field with the word "One." For In stance instead of the "One" let the area be open to some American theme much like the
Sacagawea
Dollar only instead of a single theme let it be open to all areas of American History or events or places even!

 That would be great!

This was not my first try to get this idea up and running I made an appointment with Representative Ted Poe (R-TX) and I bet he did not wait until I was out of the office before he tossed it in the trash.  I brought him several illustrations and actual printouts with PDF files for his later perusal. Last time I visited the house member's office he at least thanked me with a letter for expressing my opinion. This time silence!

My Next step is to contact the last represenative for my district who is also a member of my church. The GOP Gherrymandered the Texas districts so the former GOP rep is now moved and represents others and our new rep is still GOP.  I plan to make an appointment with the old reprentative and get his take on getitng the bill written and then getting the Representative with NASA - Houston in his district to introduce the bill. What I envision is to take the big "ONE" off the back and put a picture of the LEM and the one Astronaut saluting the US Flag that is placed up on the moon. I am hoping to get this all done in time for the 2019  50th anniversay of the landing on the moon. How "In God We trust" is to be engraved into the scene that I would leave up to engravers like Mr. Madden at the BEP.
