Who is attending Summer Seminar?

Sadly, I am not for the first time in years!  I'm envious of all who get to attend - it is such a great way to indulge oneself in learning numismatics with the best!

Last night (Feb 10th) at the Greater Houston Coin Club's  Executive Council approved six applications for funding to attend the summer seminars.  One of the council members expressed a desire to send more but no one else had applied.  An announcement will be made at the next meeting to encourage/seek more applications.  Adding to this we did not get anymore applications which is a shame.  Still at least 8 members will be at the Summer Seminars from the Greater hoouston Coin Club. A 100% increase from last year's 4

attendees ! One of last year's attendees is probably the greatest fan of the SS and touts it every meeting to someone.

As of right now I have sent in my registration for the summer seminar for  both weeks - looking forward to seeing and renewing friendships and expanding that numismatic knowledge.

Well my last post isn't showing up so I will try this again.

I will be attending Summer Seminar again this year during week 2.

Looking forward to seeing old regulars like Sonny and Tiny along

with many of the regular Instructors who teach during that week.

$guy will tell me off( because I forgot his advice)

This year I am doing grading 1.  As a foreign collector ( in both senses) US coinage is a challenge for me.....what should I do to prepare for the grading class?  ( I have a copy of the red book)

Ian, I would suggest you prepare yourself for a good time and take everything with a grain or two of salt. remember every coin is not a MTT! ;-)
