Blogging rules

We need to come together and make a set of agreed rules for proper blogging so that we can present them as a standard and enforce them as a group.
I quickly came up with this for debate

1)  Limit 2 blogs a week

2) All blogs must pass the AI plagiarizing test. the same one used in HS English classes

3) All blogs must have a minimum of 300 words and 4 paragraphs

4)  All Blogs must remain on the topic in their title and be on Numismatics

5) Points will not be issues for creating Blogs6) Blogs that break the rules will result in points being removed from the profile.

that is what I can think of at the moment.

I agree with everything except for two of the rules. I feel that if people are making good blogs and we follow the rest of the rules, we should be able to post more than two blogs per week. Also, there should be no limit, and I say that for everyone. It shouldn’t be two sentences, but as long as somebody could learn a few things, I see no need to make a minimun length.

True. But for YNs, the story is a little different. YNs can earn $50YN a week if they make two informational blogs. That is why the two a week is necessary. I do feel there should be a separate blog category for those, though, because they usually aren’t very high quality.

I completely agree with all these rules, but a minimum of four paragraphs does not make that much sense. A blog should not have to have any more than one paragraph. I do not see what that would do to make blogs better.

@Golfer. I think you figured it out. Why no explanation. Dictators do this.

@ star collector: have to respectfully disagree. One paragraph would only represent an introduction of a subject. Unless it's " wow I found this and that in my coin roll search." Maybe those should be forum posts.

That is true, but four paragraphs minimum is too excessive in my opinion, so two paragraphs minimum maybe?

@starcollector  I feel if you just write well the article will come out correctly. If you really are passionate on the subject and don't count words you will be surprised how easy it is. Don't forget to do a bibliography.

I do agree with that @Longstrider.

Also, for many of my blogs I have little need for a bibliography, hence why many of my blogs do not. And I guess it is a matter of trust, that I or anyone else should explain their sources, but I think that if you are certain it is correct, then, if you are wrong, it is mainly because the source was untrue. And if you know it is not correct, then I would hope that the person would not post it. Basically, what I am saying is that if you know it's wrong, you probably wouldn't publish it, and if you were certain that it was correct, then you would, and if you were not certain, then I suggest use the forum. Sourcing is helpful but if you know something is true for certain, then the only reason people want sources is because of a lack of trust, and I believe many of us will be truthful and not post incorrect blogs. So it is mostly the person's choice if they would source and a bibliography should not be a blogging rule.
