NGC and There Time Schedule

Hi everyone. Recently i sent some coins to be fixed by mistakes NGC made. I know there human and I have defended them. Now i was told ten days tops. How about were going on three weeks. Now all we need is some coins put in the right way and a new label. That's  nothing big. Now there is no charge for there mistakes but I would rather pay and get the service and my coins back when they say. A week and a half ago I received four tokens back. Now this is February I know tokens take time. But they received them the second week of November.  Not the twenty days they say and when you call them it's just an estimate. Who owns these coins us or them. Four months did they do one at a time. It doesn't pay to complain there going to do what they want. Not what we sign the form for. What do you think. Thanks .Mike

It seems like there is always some kind of problem with them. They had one of my coins 3 weeks in the imaging department.

Next year they open a new office in England they also opened one or are opening one in Japan any one looking for high grades! That's were to send them but the waiting time is six months. Only kidding. Thanks for your reply. To much going on that could be it.

Mike, I understand wanting to get your coins back in a timely manner, but unless you are itching to sell them quickly, does it matter how long they take? Especially if NGC is not charging for them. I have not dealt with NGC yet because most of my coins are not of high value. So far I have only used ANACS and have been happy, but they take a long time too as I have gone for lowest cost specials which take longer than normal. I have one coin with a higher value (1100.00) but will have that graded by PCGS or NGC as they are higher quality graders. I will most likely pay more for it, but if others are right about them I should get a higher grade. At least that is my hope. I hope you get your coins back soon.

Hi coin fan. I buy these tokens and coins from England. So that's two weeks. Then I send them to NGC they are the best. Now I can see twenty days that's the turn around time. But four months that's not ridiculous?. I should of received my money back. This is a hobby but a business also. I don't sell what I buy. But when I sign that form that's a contract. I have to agree to this and that and pay this for what tier I pick. It tells you the turn around time. Four months they have them longer than I paid for them I saw them two days. Not a way to honor a deal.  Now the other tokens. There not being graded just a label a turn a few coins around because they don't know obverse from reverse. I was told ten days. When I'm told that I expect that. After all that how about eight days to get them back that's the final kick in the teeth. Some people can't wait the three weeks. It's uncalled for and anyone will tell you that. How about the phone calls were are my tokens and coins? Four months of them. I thought they were lost who wouldn't. Thanks and take care. Mike

My apologies Mike. Somehow I missed the 4 month time frame. You are quite right. That is WELL beyond a decent turn around time. I would be quite upset myself no matter the cost. I want to use NGC, I just cant justify the higher cost yet. Then again, I am just starting out. Only been about a year now since I started collecting and I have only sold 1 coin. Well, traded rather. I traded a 1895 - O Morgan for the complete set of World War II Aircraft coins. My wife is heavy into WWII stuff and I had two of the Morgan's.

Again, sorry.

Just to keep you updated it is now going into three weeks to have a label and a couple of coins changed. Totally unacceptable. As long as we don't complain it will continue. I urge you to call when your coins are late. Constantly make phone calls every day.

Now onto another subject. I went to read a forum and it's blocked to everyone. Why write one if no one can read it. It's about time the ANA got rid o that also. They want us to share and yet they put this bomb into the hands or selfish people. How does this make sense. Who did you write it for yourself?

Well I finally received my repairs from NGC. I hope you sitting down. Two of what are called Handel reverses were fixed. The wrong way again! They have had my tokens longer than me. They put Handel in again as the obverse. Sure they changed the label but when they encapsulated it they did it wrong again. I was very upset. I called they verified what they were supposed to due and I hung up. They called me back I didn't answer. They sent an email I answered. I said you can't read you don't no an obverse from a reverse I will send all eighteen coins to PCGS. They said they will pay for my shipping and give me a credit. I said I am sending four m.s. believe me they are the last 14 were.. One is a Handel will you get that right? I want them returned faster. I get coins back from Texas in four days west coast three days Europe eight to nine days. All faster than yours and I'm paying 22.00. Europe is four dollars what's the problem with your mailing? I live in N.Y. not Canada. Why so expensive everyone else sends registered mail why is yours only so long and expensive. I will update this the next time I get them back. They defiantly have a serious problem. Mike.
