Who Buys this Stuff?

IMHO an abomination.  A Fijian 1 Dollar coin commemorating Coca Cola with Santa glugging down a bottle of Coke.  The reverse has the Fijian Coat of Arms, 2019, and the denomination.

Mintage - 25,000
Cost - $39.99
Composition- 1 Ounce pure Silver

Collectibility - NIL

A F##l and his Money are soon parted, as the old saying goes.  But, since I have bought Republic of Marshall Island 5 Dollar coins for 5 Dollars, I guess I have to count myself among the Fools.  LOL

Would hate to see the buyers expression when they go to a coin show someday to "cash in" this "rare" coin. Its a shame when legitimate government mints submit to numismatic prostitution and slumming to appease a small minority of (non-numismatic) collectors for stuff like this. I look at something like this and only see melt value.

To add another level of intrigue, this coin was not minted by any government mint, it was minted by a private concern under contract with the Fijian government.   Just a pure money grab with Coca Cola probably having some hand in the profits as well.  Thinking of this as melt value is undoubtedly the best way to think of these.
