As the horizontal press begins to mint coins, you notice that the coins are ejected from the machine into a big metal box.

At first, all of the coins look about the same but as the dies wear down, the coins begin to look blurry. When the workers at the Mint notice that the coin design does not appear as sharp, the dies are replaced.
